Explanation of geometry

Geometry of Duratec frames is created thanks many experience in builidng racing and sports bicycles. Frames and bikes produced by Duratec are perforated to using categories (road, mtb, cyclocross…). To each model there is different geomety, that is written to table and fill in picture. Size are designed after 1 or 2 cm and this is reason how easy can everybody choose right size of frame.

Frame geometry design
For proposal of special racing geometry there is neccessary to know the measurements of rider (high of rider, crotch) and rider position on bicycle. The geometry of bicycle must be designed with maximal effectivennes between work and power.

Quotation
We use two types of measurements for classification and confrontation. First of them are measurements, that espressivo influence racing properties. These parameters are important for future reaction of bicycle and their list is public down incl. explanation. The second type are measurements, that are created from the first type. These measurements are informated and they are neccessary for comparison with other geometries from other producers. Both of measurements are written in table down – see pages of models

FOG system – Bikefittings.com
The assesment of the right frame geometry and the assesment of the right sitting position on the bike is one of the most important factors which affects the achievment and health of the racer. It is a quite complicated to get the optimized frame according to the anatomic parameters of the concrete person.

Duratec Fog system is a measuring and computational system for the right position of the cyclist on the bike including the optimized design of the frame geometry. The expertly measured proportions of the racer by help of the FOG equipment are the input parameter.The computation calculates with many factors (anatomy, treter type, pedal type, discipline) and designs frame or bike so that the cyclist extends the most effective position. The outcome of the measurment is optimized frame geeometry and the sitting position. The system is trying to find the optimum among the effort, resistence, comfort and maximization of the effort and biomechanical stand-point. All these factors are investigated with the consequential progression and research in combination with practical tests. The Duratec company bought computational algorithms of the universal frame from the Bikefittings company, which created procedures for the calculation of several cycling disciplines, based on long-standing experiences and analyses of men and women population. The princip is based on understanding the biomechanical charatcteristics of the individual. These characteristics were searched nad consultated with specialized doctors. Their issue is so exacting, that its explanation is not possible by simple description.
