Duratec - bike frames manufacturing and selling 

Frames Duratec and their design are created in software 3D CAD system CATIA. This system allows not only the development of new products, but also the construction of equipment needed for series production of our frames.

Duratec received with the road racing model Cult CR3 a prestigious location in calendar 2010 Make it real! the company Dassault Systemes, which is the creator of this software. Duratec is placed in to calender alongside the Czech company Skoda Power Inc., Schiebel Ltd. and other foreign companies.

The old year 2009 was the year of major innovative changes and we are not afraid to say that, especially for the better. Immediately at the beginning of year 2009 our bank institution has been financially supported the Project Development Center Duratec, which we obtained from the program of Ministery of Industry and Trade – Potential Program. After the solution of the initial administrative work, we started with gusto in the first phase of the project. It was the purchase of new technologies for development. The first technological phase was successfully completed at the end of September and now runs parallel with the second phase – the construction of the center itself. In 2009, we finished the rough building. The finish of complete project is planned on Oktober 2010.

During the management and implementation of the project we catched a lot of other things such as introduction on the market and start production of model Cult CR3 – full-carbon monocoque frame produced a revolutionary technology AFCF developed by our company as well. And it was not simply, because our hand work and customized geometry of frames, which is the know-how across the company, was also reflected in the production of composites. Duratec can produce as the first on the world carbon monocoque frame with the geometry on request! This fact very moved our marketing and raised a large interest in our products and especially in abroad.

Production of aluminum frames has got still green. Customers like the popular mtb frame Torain C1 in both version (men and ladies) and design in version for 29inch wheels as well. All aluminium models will offered in year 2010 too. Very pleasant surprise was the rising orders for tandem frames for healthy and disabled athletes. These have produced a total of about 60 pcs/year 2009 across the whole Europe. We firmly believe that this is due to social and financial support of handicapped and visually impaired athletes.

We are still waiting for some imaginary end of season 2009 during the autumn and even more we were surprised us incessant interest. Maybe it was because we have been able to offer components for the new season since July 2009.

We had full sensation, thanks to our cooperation with Jiri Jezek, who created a new world record in November in fighter at 4 km and won the title of world champion bike Duratec (UCI Track Cycling Championships in Manchester, Great Britain). World Champion also became our Swiss partners, who have won on Duratec Bicycle Polo frames. Their rivals on the second and third rung played on bicycles Duratec as well as Swiss winners. This is our highest award to occupy the top spots.

Although the year 2009 is registered as a year of financial crisis Duratec produced higher number of frames, but thanks to new pricing and sales strategy in the Czech Republic and in the Europe, we sold more complete bike! It was a lot racers who have bought bicycle directly from us – from manufacturer. In the future we want to go this way and offer the sales of our relatively unlimited production capabilities to other customers. If we assess the year 2009, we are very happy and satisfied because we made good work, but primarily we are full of elan and energy into this year. Designers have new ideas, which will be introduces during the year 2010. At the very end of the year we got to the front page of the magazine business & trade United 11–12/2009. In this and last year you have been fascinated with our flouwer´s design for women´s bikes, that we produced in many ways – white flowers, red flowers, pink, … blue in combination with white, red or blue frame. You found out many women´s variations and each one was unique. We have designed women´s clothing in several designs and colors with your favorite flowers. It is limited series that is created not only for Duratec bikes, but for everybody who will enjoy it. We believe that the lady´s shirt will please many women and it will be a beautiful gift under the Christmas tree.

Duratec bikes occupied first three positions in cycle ball on UCI Indoor Cycluing World Championships 2009 in the Portuguese Tavira. Title of world champions won the Swiss duo Peter Jiricek and Marcel Waldispühl. They went through the tourney without a defeat and they won in the finals with Germany 5:1. Peter Jiříček riding on Star Bicycle&Duratec frames is already three times World Champion (1999,2002,2009). On the second place is the German couple (König, Berner) and the third place achieved Austrians Schneider and König, first three pair on Duratec bikes. Congratulations them and wish many succes in the future.

Duratec cooperate with the Swiss company Star Bicycle. The holder of company is world champion Peter Jiříček, who actively promotes the sale of his frames and provides promotion. In the beginning of our Czech-Swiss cooperation we developed aluminum frames for Bicycle Polo and Artistic cycling, that were until then from a steel.
